worshipping Rebekah....5 years old.

I just simply HAD to share this with you. This is my 5 (almost 6) year old Rebekah; who called me into the room tonight for a 'WORSHIP CONCERT LIKE CHRIS TOMLIN"....well, yes and no.

Please watch it, your life will never be the same again.

When you hear something like this, in free worship from the heart and mouth of your own child...you melt. I must be doing something right if this is what she sings about her God!

BE BLESSED...and share it with people in your world!

some cool stuff

so much has been happening and now it is time for some rest.
simple rest.
you know the kind where you get to laze in bed in the morning and no-one needs to be anywhere by any particular time.
the kind where when you do get up you think, should we "do" something today or just "be"....
the kind of rest i desire.
the kind of rest i need.
the kind of rest where i can have 6 books on the go and take my time in reading them.
the kind of rest where my phone goes on silent until after 8pm when i check it briefly for emergencies (that are probably no longer emergencies).
the kind of rest i require in this moment in time.
to simply hang with my kids: games, dvd's, dance concerts, trampolining.

to simply rest.

to simply laugh.
to simply be.....

it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

ok so i have not been 'around' blogging my own self for over 2 months ::::::and what a wild 2 months it has been!

BUT i simply had to come and share this with you.

This is my 3 incredible daughters: (L-R) Lauryn aged 3.5, Rebekah aged 5.5 & Grace age 7.

This morning we woke up and sat down and chatted through what we would all like to do today...all 3 of them wanted desperately to put up the Christmas tree and the decorations....so here they are - job completed...CANNOT WIPE THE SMILES OFF THEIR FACES, nor would you want to huh!?

so here we are, 33 sleeps to go - and i tell you, they are counting!

we busted moves to Israel Houghton's Christmas CD (you should so get it if you don't have it!)

anyway - here we are:

SMILING AT THE FUTURE......all of us. :)

Jesus loves the little children...

so i know this song, but know I KNOW THIS SONG!

i sat in Green Lake Wisconsin at an "International Christian Conference on Prostitution" ministry with 300 people...many of whom were literally 'family' that i had not met yet. You know like heaven, a family reunion with those you never 'met' but the moment you see them you connect.

God has done that in mighty ways this entire trip...and due to my propense capacity to be a "life delighter" i cease the moments, grab the hearts and build relationships - by choice. I love Jesus. I love people. I love life.

So this photo is from the 'last supper' or the first of many; depends how you look at it. Around this table are 2 women from Nigeria http://www.scarlet2snow.org/ (who read my article in Charisma magazine 3 months ago, found me on Facebook and we all wound up here together in Wisconsin - God proving Himself to be ridiculously in love with humanity again!!), 2 guys from Chicago where they work with a ministry Emmaus http://www.streets.org/ that exists to connect with guys in prostitution and offer them friendship, understanding and love, an incredible guy from Mars Hill grad school http://www.mhgs.edu/ who was desperate for God's face and then Caitlyn and I..... http://www.hopefoundation.org.au/

literally "Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world"...and God in all of His sovereign hilarity even has us 'break out' into singing it mid dinner! seriously! and clapping and laughing and in joy! (i think a tiny glimpse of heaven actually! joy and laughter and freedom in community...)

I will never be the same again...neither will any of them!

ridiculously good GOD!

i love chicago....

so i just need to say i seriously LOVE chicago.
great city.
great food.
great skyline.
great places to wander around.
great fun.
just love chicago.
i wonder how much of that is the actual city and how much of that is just where I am at within myself. i think when you are at peace within yourself that the externals and the circumstances around you start to lose their 'so-called-power' over you. you know what I mean? like i am at a place within myself and my relationship with God where peace reigns, where love reigns, where forgiveness just is, where i get His incredible passionate love for me and am free to be who He created me to be...and i love that.
i wonder.....
but; i really do love chicago...

"you've got to have friends"....

I just love this photo...love it.

my dear friend Caitlyn and I are in America on a 5 week journey; with God and with each other (pretty much the whole time...) we are 3 weeks in and STILL adore each other! even all the funny bits....yes glow-in-the-dark undies come under this section! I love that God has partnered me with someone like Caitlyn; so different in SOOOOO many ways and yet the same in so many others. We are chicks and we have our little moments; but because the thread is God we get over ourselves and what the "issue" was very quickly.
so yes we are still enjoying each others company...in fact you know what; I have not laughed, smiled or cried so much in years. I really don't remember the JOY being like this...ever.
i am blessed to have a friend like Caitlyn....a ministry partnership organised by God; taking hope & freedom with us wherever we go - whether the platform or the store or the park or the hotel lobby (and beyond...) i love that.
may God continue to thrive us as individuals and cheerleaders for each other as we do this journey called life.
knowing we have both been created for something SIGNIFICANT.....and excited and expectant by that.
yay for God

Less of me.

PS - photo by another special friend named Sharon, who entered my world via another special friend named Michelle, who entered my world at Disneyland via another special friend named Lauran.....and no doubt the list of incredible friends in my life goes on (and I do NOT ever want to forget the power of relationship and friendship......you are loved and valued by me incredible friends...every single one of you - you know who you are....one body & many members make up the Kingdom and my world...and gee am I thankful)
